1) What do you look for in a Potential Franchisee?
A potential franchisee should be willing to invest money, willing to find a good location and willing to follow set standards. Potential franchisee should possess an entrepreneurial spirit and the commitment to the products.
2) How can I apply for a Franchise?
A potential franchisee can inquire about via telephone, fax email, and personal visit at the kingcornphils website (www.kingcornphils.com)
The potential franchisee should provide the following requirements in order to facilitate the application.

3) How much is the franchisee fee?
The TOTAL FRANCHISE PACKAGE for the whole lot is quoted at THREE HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND Pesos (P350,000.00), net of all taxes, which shall cover: the cost of construction of cart, equipment, initial inventory worth P5,000.00, operational systems and procedures, and franchise fee.
Upon the signing of the agreement, the Second Party shall immediately pay One Hundred SEVENTY FIVE Thousand Pesos Only (P175,000.00). The remaining balance shall be paid one week before the start of operations.
The Second Party shall pay five percent (.05) of the gross monthly receipt or sales derived from the Kingcorn outlet as ROYALTY FEE and shall be remitted to the First Party on or before the tenth day of the following month.
4) What is included in the Franchisee fee?

b. One (1) unit CORN STEAMER d. Two (2) Units CORN COOKER
The initial inventory of food supplies amounting to Five Thousand Pesos
(P5,000.00)
The franchise fee includes the license, which allows the franchisee to operate and use the trademark of KINGCORN. Franchise terms are three (3) years with option to renew. Franchise has to pay 50% of the prevailing franchise fee in case of renewal.
5) How long does it take to open the shop?
HILLTOP VENTURES, INC. can process the application within 3 to 4 weeks in normal conditions. The activities include processing of application, site selection, construction of the cart, equipment and materials preparation and training.
6) How many units can a single franchisee own?
A franchisee can own multiple units for as long as they can pay the necessary fees for the said units and observe the standard operation procedures set by company, HILLTOP VENTURES, INC.
7) Where can franchisee locate their outlet?
It can be located in high foot traffics areas such as: schools, malls, bazaars and during special events. The company will ensure that no two (2) outlets are located within 500 meters radius so the franchisee can fully realize the returns of his investment and not compete with another.
8) What is the dimension of the cart and are requirement?
The cart has the following dimension:

Width .75meter
Length 1.80 meter
Minimum Area requirement: 2.5 m. x 2.5 m.
9) How much can a franchisee earn?
Franchisee profitability depends highly on where he locates his cart. Gross
Margin is estimated at 60-65%.
10) What kind of training will the franchisee receive?
The franchisee and his manpower pool will be trained in basic cart operation and product handling by HILLTOP VENTURES, INC. personnel.
11) What type of assistance will be provided to franchisee?
Aside from providing basic operation and product handling, HILLTOP VENTURES, INC will also assist the franchisee in building up sales, local store marketing and product development.
12) Who will be responsible in the recruitment and training of the personnel?
Franchisee shall provide his own personnel.
13) At what price would the products be sold?
All approved products of (KINGCORN) HILLTOP VENTURES,INC.
Franchisee is not allowed to sell any other food item other those specified by HILLTOP VENTURES, INC. HILLTOP VENTURES, INC will provide the standard price list of the products indicating the selling price to the consumers. HILLTOP VENTURES, INC shall peg the prices of such products according to the targeted profitability rates that will provide reasonable returns to the franchisee.
14) How will you ensure product quality and standard of operation are being upheld?
HILLTOP VENTURES, INC. will designate employees and agents who shall audit shop operations on the basis of approved standards on service, product quality, cleanliness, equipment maintenance, atmosphere, etc.
